The following exerpts from our bylaws describe Full
Members and Associate Members. There
is also a section detailing the pledging requirements.

In addition, Central Texas boys of Leather provides
a membership option for persons who wish to show their support of
CTboL, but do not meet club requirements. These persons may become
part of the CTboL Dominant’s Auxiliary . Dominant’s Auxiliary
members will receive a small Dominant’s Auxiliary club patch
and be included on the club’s email news list. You can find

Full Members
1. Membership application is open to any adult (21 or older) of any gender,
age, race, ethnicity or sexual orientation that identifies as a leather
submissive and lives within 100 miles of Austin, Texas.
2. To be considered for full membership, individuals must complete the CTboL
application form and return it to the Secretary/Membership Director.
3. Applicants are to be sponsored by an existing full member of the organization
who will act as a mentor during the pledging period.
4. If the applicant does not know an existing member who can sponsor them,
a minimum of three character references and one community reference will
be required and an existing club member will be assigned as the pledge’s
mentor. Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis.
5. Upon meeting all of the application requirements and acceptance by the
membership committee, applicants become pledges and receive a club pin.
6. At the end of the pledging period, the existing membership will adopt
the pledge into the organization as a full member by means of a 2/3 vote.
7. Upon acceptance as a full member, the pledge will be required to pay the
membership fee of $45 that will cover the cost of the club colors consisting
of a back-patch and two small patches.
8. All members are expected to attend a minimum of one regular meeting per
quarter and at least four club sponsored community service event in addition
to the regular monthly meetings.
9. Annual dues of $25 will be due to the Treasurer by the regular November
meeting. Members who have paid new membership dues within the past six months
will not be assessed annual dues in their first year.
Associate Members
1. Individuals who identify as a leather submissive and meet all the requirements
of full membership, but who do not live in Central Texas or who are full
members of another leather boy club may apply for associate membership.
2. To be considered for associate membership, individuals must complete the
CTboL application form and return it to the Secretary/Membership Director.
3. Associate member applicants must attend at least one club meeting or event
prior to approval by a 2/3 vote of club members.
4. Associate members cannot vote or hold a club office.
5. There is no pledging period for associate membership.
6. Upon acceptance into the club as an associate member, the applicant will
be required to pay the one-time associate membership fee of $25 to cover
the cost of the club pin and small patch.
7. All associate members are expected to attend at least one meeting or one
club event per year.
8. Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis.
Pledging
1. Pledges must be mentored by an existing full member of the club
2. The mentor is responsible for educating the pledge with regard to club
policy and guide the pledge through the pledging period. Pledges will receive
a club pin.
3. Pledges will be accepted as full members of the club upon meeting pledging
requirements, receiving a 2/3 vote of the membership, and paying first year
dues that include the club back patch and two small patches.
4. Pledges are required to:

a. Attend at least 3 regular club meetings.
b. Actively participate in at least one club event.
c. Conduct themselves in a manner consistent with club bylaws and code of conduct
during the pledging period.
d. Refuse to participate in and report immediately any act or perception of hazing
to a member of the executive board.
